ENERGY STAR® Qualified SNAP-IN Exhaust Fan, 50 CFM

The unique feature of the Air King High Performance Bath Fan series is its UL listed molded high impact plastic housing, providing numerous advantages. Traditional bath fan housings are typically made of steel, which involves bending and welding. This process is more expensive, and over time, the welds can break, resulting in a louder or rattling fan operation. Additionally, metal housings tend to reverberate and echo noise. However, the all-plastic housing of the Air King series eliminates the need for welds and utilizes the natural sound absorbent properties of plastic, resulting in a quieter operation.

Furthermore, the UL listed molded high impact plastic housing is resistant to rust, making it an ideal choice for areas with high moisture content, such as those near saltwater. Additionally, the high performance exhaust fan series features a snap-in installation system with a bracket that nails or screws into the ceiling joist, allowing for quick and easy installation. This system simplifies the replacement of existing fans without the need to remove large sections of the ceiling or access the attic.

The fan is designed for continuous operation and is equipped with a 4-inch plastic duct collar with a back draft damper to ensure quiet operation and prevent drafts. It is also ENERGY STAR Qualified and rated for ceilings insulated to R-40. The fan has a 50-CFM blower at 0.5 sones, making for almost silent operation, and is suitable for rooms of approximately 45 to 65 square feet.

In addition to its quiet operation, the fan is also UL listed for installation over a tub or shower on a GFCI circuit, Culus-listed, HVI 2100-certified, Title 24 compliant, and ASHRAE 62.2 approved. It comes with a durable high-impact plastic housing and a white, polymeric grill, with dimensions of 10" x 10". The fan also includes a 5-year limited warranty.
